What is a Wheelchair Tennis Initiative
Taking place across three locations:
Saturday 15th February 2025: Nottingham Tennis Centre
Sunday 18th May 2025: University of Bath
Sunday 7th September 2025: Lee Valley Hockey & Tennis Centre
The LTA’s Wheelchair Tennis Initiative are one-day events designed to provide transformative experiences for players who want to either discover a new sport or aspire to become a future Paralympic and Grand Slam Champion!
These days are for young people, children, their friends and family who are 18 yrs. & under with a physical health condition/ impairment who want to play wheelchair tennis and/ or aspire to develop on their journey. Bringing these individuals together showcases the wheelchair tennis pathway and available opportunities from grassroots development to elite performance. In addition, provide support and guidance for all attendees on avenues to access funding grants, equipment access, competitions etc. and access into accessible venues and relevant programmes.
