2025 County Cup 10U Girls

10U COUNTY CUP – 10th & 11th May

10U GIRLS

VENUE: Poole, East Dorset
GROUP: South Group C
CAPTAIN: Lewis Fletcher
PLAYERS: Gabrielle, Jessica, Lowri, Sophia

The U10 Girls County Cup took place in East Dorset, with teams from South Wales, Berkshire, Dorset, and Wiltshire coming together in a fantastic display of junior tennis talent. Representing their county with pride, our young team played with determination and resilience.

The theme that ran through the weekend – “we win, we learn, but we never lose” – truly the spirit of the team. The girls embraced every challenge thrown their way and emerged from the experience not only as better players but as a stronger, more united team.

Each match provided valuable lessons: from understanding different playing styles, learning from tough opponents, coping with competitive pressure, and adapting to the unfamiliar clay surface. It was a comprehensive test of their abilities, and they rose to it with maturity beyond their years.

What stood out most was their fighting spirit. Regardless of the scoreboard, the girls never gave up. They kept their focus, stuck to their process, and showed immense pride in representing their county. This perseverance is a credit to each player’s mindset and team commitment.

I would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the parents. Your positivity, encouragement, and easy-going support created an uplifting environment that helped the girls stay relaxed, confident, and ready to compete at their best.

Overall, it was a weekend of growth, pride, and passion for the sport. I’m incredibly proud of all the players for their efforts and attitude – they’ve set a wonderful example of what it means to compete.
