The Wiltshire County 10U teams competed at the LTA County Cup on 18th and 19th May. The Boys played at Royal Wootton Bassett and the Girls at Sherborne.
BOYS REPORT

It was a challenging weekend for the 10U boys team this year coming up against some very strong counties in South Wales, Dorset and Berkshire. Even though we lost all our matches overall, the boys were an absolute credit to the county and themselves they never gave up and always played with a smile on their faces!! They showed they’d took on what we had practiced on the doubles court at recent county trainings and really stuck to the task despite it being a very challenging one. Special mention to Zach for winning 2 of his 3 singles matches playing at number 1!! Well done to all the boys.

10U GIRLS REPORT
Players: Annabelle, Aarabhi, Maddie, Vidita
Captain: Dave Morris
The weekend was tough for the girls but some valuable experiences gained. We played vs Hampshire and IOW first match. Hampshire and IOW went on the win the group and the match vs them was tough loosing 6-0. Our next match we played vs Surrey, this match was much closer. Well done to Annabelle for winning her singles and also Annabelle and Aarabhi won their doubles together. Unfortunately with these two results it wasn’t enough to beat Surrey. But all of the girls played all their matches well and with heart. Our last match was vs Dorset who were the home county. This match was again tough but well done to Annabelle for winning her singles. Aarabhi, Maddie and Vidita battled hard vs some strong opposition. We lost 5-1 after Annabelle and Aarabhi’s doubles match went to a match tie-break we just lost out 10-8. This weekend ALL the girls represented the county well and should all be very proud of themselves.
