A huge congratulations to the Wiltshire Girls 10U team on reaching the National County Finals at Oxstalls and proudly representing Wiltshire on the national stage. Reaching the finals was a fantastic achievement and one that the girls should be extremely proud of.
Competing against strong counties including Avon, Surrey, Middlesex, and Kent, the team showed tremendous determination, resilience, and quality throughout the event. The results did not fully reflect just how competitive the girls were across all their matches. Wiltshire secured an excellent 4-2 victory over Avon, while the ties against Surrey, Middlesex, and Kent could easily have gone a different way, with many closely contested matches and opportunities to turn the results in our favour.
The girls demonstrated outstanding effort, attitude, sportsmanship, and a high standard of tennis throughout the competition. They represented Wiltshire with great pride and did the county proud with their performances both on and off the court.
Neil Little, Dave Morris, and myself were incredibly proud of the team’s all-round efforts and the way they conducted themselves throughout the finals. Their commitment, teamwork, and quality of tennis were a credit to Wiltshire.
