The Wiltshire U11 Boys took part in the County Cup held at Oxstalls in Gloucestershire, alongside teams from Hampshire & Isle of Wight, Shropshire, Hereford & Worcester, and hosts Gloucestershire.
It was a fantastic weekend of Tennis, and the Wiltshire boys showed great character and commitment throughout. After a steady start, the team grew in confidence and cohesion as the tournament progressed. Their two core goals for the weekend were clear: give 100% effort in every moment and enjoy the opportunity to play the game they love. We’re proud to say they did exactly that.
The boys showed resilience, skill, and great spirit, ultimately earning a well-deserved 3rd place finish—an excellent result among strong opposition. Both myself and Becky were extremely pleased with their performances and attitude on and off the field.
There were many positives to take away, along with some areas for development that we’ll continue to focus on in each player’s journey. A big well done to the entire squad – keep up the hard work, and we look forward to seeing you on court very soon.

11U GIRLS
VENUE: East Dorset Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, Poole
GROUP: 2B
CAPTAINS: Neil Watts & Becky Watts
PLAYERS: Aarabhi, Gabrielle, Maddie, Vidita
The girls were playing at East Dorset Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club in Poole against teams from South Wales, Devon, Gloucestershire and Cornwall.
Day 1 started with the eventual winners South Wales. We went 3-1 down after singles after some great matches from the girls. We then played singles against Devon with the same outcome after singles. The girls tennis and confidence growing with each match.
We faced Gloucestershire and Cornwall the next day. The weekend finishing with a tie break shoot out against Cornwall. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be for Wiltshire this weekend but the girls showed fantastic team spirit and fight the whole weekend and myself and Neil were very proud of their performance over all. Well done to Aarabhi who won all of her singles matches!
