It was the inaugural Wiltshire Padel County Championships which was kidly hosted by Padel4All at Bassett Down.
Whilst the storm brought heavy rain and strong winds outside, we had the luxury of being indoors under the canopy with competitive matches being played alongside friendly banter and topped off with the music playing in the background – a far cry from the sedate tennis matches we are so used to.
With both men’s and ladies’ doubles teams the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming with a sense of camaraderie and for the officials it was a joy to oversee.
Thank you to Padel4All, Bassett Down for being our home for the weekend, to all the players, the officials, volunteers, Babolat and members of the Wiltshire Tennis team for hosting such a great event.
