Wiltshire were delighted to host the area finals for Wiltshire, Dorset and Somerset with the event held at Salisbury Tennis Centre.
It was a beautiful, if not slightly hot day with the mens and ladies team taking to the court in a competitive yet friendly atmosphere.
The four mens teams battled it out for three rounds with the final round robin match deciding the winner and with 66.67% of sets won each it went down to the games percentage with Ben Spring and Simon Stone of Riverside Tennis Club coming out as the winners and Paul Fairhurst and Christopher Grant-Peterkin as the Runners Up.
The Ladies event was won by the Sherborne Tennis team – Louisa Freisenbruch and Geraldine Stanley who pipped Jane Wilcox and Heidi Wood from Marshfield Tennis Club in a full sets match.
Good Luck to both teams when they head up to Wimbledon in August.
