The Quarry Road Tennis Courts next to the Town Gardens in Swindon have been formally reopened following extensive refurbishment.
This major project, made possible by a generous £140k investment from the UK Government, the LTA Tennis Foundation’s Park Tennis Project, and the South Swindon Parish Council, has transformed the courts to offer a fantastic tennis experience for all.
James Deem(LTA Parks and Community Courts Manager for the South/South West) has admirably led this project in conjunction with Neil Hopkins, Chair of South Swindon PC with Wiltshire Tennis adding support throughout to get the project over the line.
Players can access the courts via three ways: an Annual Pass starting @ £50 per year, a Club Pass @ £18 per month, and Pay & Play @ £7 per hour.
The booking system is online with gated entry system operated by code.
National Tennis Academy ,who also operate Swindon Tennis at St Marks, will provide coaching sessions. More details can be found at https://quarryroad.swindontennis.org.uk/
A fantastic result for Swindon and helping opening up tennis to a wider audience.
