Try Wheelchair Tennis event

To mark 50 years of wheelchair tennis, Royal Wootton Bassett TC and Wiltshire Tennis organised a ‘Try Wheelchair Tennis for Free’ event at Royal Wootton Bassett on Saturday 25th July.

Ali Ward, Head Coach at Royal Wootton Bassett TC, ensured the morning was a resounding success, fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all attendees.  With extensive experience in wheelchair tennis and a strong advocacy for accessible tennis within the community, Ali truly shone as a champion.

Former wheelchair tennis player and Paralympian Louise Hunt Skelley joined the event to share her inspiring journey. This was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to hear her firsthand account of the profound impact tennis has had on her life and career.  We were delighted to see Oli Cox, ranked number 29 in the world, also participate in the session, demonstrating his remarkable talent.

The event was filled with lots of laughter and enjoyment, and if you’re interested in trying wheelchair tennis, please contact Ali Ward via email at [email protected].
