Meet the Wiltshire Tennis County Officials who are responsible for all County Tennis matters across the county.

Sir Geoffrey Owen

President

Geoff has been the Wiltshire Tennis President for over 18 years.  Geoff represents the County at key events and meetings.  Geoff played tennis for the County between 1953 and 1966 and competed at Wimbledon in the singles and in the doubles with fellow Wiltshire player Basil Hutchins.

Philip Evans

Phil has been the County Chairman for over 18 years. He manages all key management meetings and for many years was our LTA Councillor.  Prior to his role as Chairman, Phil was the County Treasurer and has represented Wiltshire at junior, senior and veteran levels.

Roger Henry

Vice President

Roger (Mr Wiltshire Tennis) Henry has been involved in Wiltshire tennis for over 30 years.  Roger is the County Tennis Chairman and supports the work of the County team.  Roger is the organiser of the Wiltshire Junior County Championships and is an active committee member at Ramsbury TC.

Andy Dickinson

Andy joined the Management committee in 2012.  Andy is on the committee at Minety Tennis Club.  He is still an active match player at both Club and County level.  Andy is responsible for managing Wiltshire Tennis’ information technology.

Barry Scollo

Barry Scollo

Barry Scollo was Director of Tennis at TeamBath for 15 years, establishing and developing one of the leading performance pathways for tennis in the UK.  He now consults and works across a number of performance institutions while running his own company SS Tennis Ltd. Barry is a former LTA National Coach and current LTA tutor and mentor. Barry has worked with a number of national and international players over the years.  Barry is currently GB Team Coach for British students and is a former world ranked singles and doubles player.  

Colin Gratton

Colin joined the managment Committee in 2008. He was Chairman of Pewsey Tennis Club (2005-2020) where he was instrumental in successfully implementing major capital projects including new floodlights. He is now President of Pewsey Tennis Club which is one of Wiltshire’s highly successful rural tennis clubs. He is still an active match player at Club and County level and currently plays for Wiltshire’s 70s and Captains Wiltshire’s 75s.

John Heffer

John has been County Treasurer since 2007 and manages all financial issues within the County and has been involved with Wiltshire tennis for over 30 years.

Liz Bissett

Liz is the Wiltshire Tennis County Secretary and joined the committee in 2010.  Liz supports the County Chairman at committee meetings and the annual County AGM.  Liz provides invaluable support to the County Office and the Management committee and has been involved within Wiltshire Tennis for many years. She represents Wiltshire on the LTA Council.

Simon Adkins

Simon Adkins

Simon joined the Wiltshire Tennis Management Committee in 2025 and serves as a Trustee. He brings experience from the world of business strategy, governance and performance leadership, having worked across strategic planning and organisational transformation. Simon holds a Master’s degree in Leadership from Henley Business School and has a strong interest in widening access and participation in sport and community activities. Outside his role with Wiltshire Tennis, Simon is active in mentoring young people and supporting initiatives that promote inclusion and personal development. As a Trustee, he contributes to the strategic oversight and long-term planning of the county’s activities, helping to support venues, players and volunteers across Wiltshire.

Steve Yeardley

Steve joined the Wiltshire Tennis Management Committee in 2026 and serves as a Trustee.

Alicia Hazzard

Padel Ambassador

Alicia joined the committee in 2023 as the Padel Ambassador. A former county tennis player, Alicia took up padel in 2022 and is now in the top 25 in the UK. As a former teacher, Alicia is passionate about getting more young people involved in padel.  

Hilda Moore BEM

Venue Liaison

Hilda joined the team in a new role offering Club and venue support.  She has many years of experience both as a player and on committees, since student days in Glasgow and at Marlborough Tennis, including being Chair and Head Coach, helping them secure a permanent home and creating, delivered and coordinated coaching programmes over the years as a level 3 coach.  She looks forward to being a resource for clubs and venues wanting to develop and grow where she can share her passion and enthusiasm for tennis. 

Kathryn Brooks

County Administrator

Kathryn has worked within the LTA for over 18years.  Kathryn oversees the day to day County operations and supports the activities of the organisation including County Squads, County Teams, County Championships and Wimbledon Tickets as well as all other County related tennis matters.

Lewis Fletcher

8U-14U County Performance Co-Ordinator and Captain

Head Coach at Ramsbury Tennis Club & Lead Coach at Great Bedwyn Tennis Club. Director of Tennis Xperience UK & Not Just Tennis. SPC Performance Accredited Plus Coach. CTS Tutor. Lead Deaf Awareness tennis Tutor. National Deaf Great Britain Player (highest world Deaf ranking 6). Coach players of all ages and abilities and currently coach several County and National players. Wiltshire County Coach and captain for several years and now 8U – 14 Performance co-ordinator

Liz Lewis

Liz is the County Safeguarding Officer, working with the County to develop a Safeguarding plan to ensure County and Clubs operate in a safe and inclusive manner.   Liz, a former Club Welfare Officer, will be able to offer great advice and support to clubs and Club Welfare Officers.

Neil Little

Coach Workforce Co-Ordinator and County Coach

Neil has been a professional tennis coach for over eleven years. After obtaining a BSc Hons in Sports Coaching, he gained his Level 4 SCC and has been coaching at Ramsbury Tennis Club since 2017 as well as teaching at Marlborough College. He is both a club coach and a County Captain for the junior squads.  Neil is keen to encourage young players across the county to consider a career in tennis coaching and is pleased to be supporting the Coach Workforce in its endeavours to grow the game. 

Neil Watts

18U and Adult County Performance co-ordinator and Mens Captain

Neil manages and is the Performance Co-ordinatator for the 18U Junior County Teams and the Adult Mens teams in Wiltshire, Neil is also the Mens Team Captain. Neil is the point of contact for any general query a player or coach may have regarding these age groups.

Sam Hull

Sam has been coaching for over 25 years and has been Head Coach of Marshfield Tennis Club since the club was formed in 2011, he also managed the coaching programme at Biddestone Tennis Club between 2017 and 2023.  Prior to moving to Wiltshire, Sam was the Community Tennis Coach for the London Borough of Merton working with a large network of schools and the Wimbledon Junior Tennis Initiative.  In his younger years he gained valuable coaching experience in a variety of countries around the world.  Sam enjoys working with a broad range of player ages and abilities, promoting a lifelong love of tennis and an active lifestyle, and was recognised with the Wiltshire LTA Development Coach Award in 2017 and 2021.  He is looking forward to bringing together the experience of our county coaches to coordinate a shared approach to building the Coach Workforce.

Sam Kingdon

Sam has joined the team as the Team Tennis and Competition County Organiser.  Sam has been involved with tennis since a young age and is now a qualified LTA coach, LTA G4 Referee and a tennis parent so wears a variety a tennis caps. Always open to new ideas Sam would love to hear any thoughts clubs, coaches or players have in terms of competition in the County.
