Bright colours, children laughing, balls flying everywhere and captains cheering on their teams was the atmosphere at the Wiltshire Tennis 8u Festival held at Delta TC in November.
It was an opportunity for new players to experience competition in a fun, safe environment with friends and fellow team mates and what an afternoon of tennis we had topped off with a ‘live’ game and the tennis quiz. These festivals offer players the opportunity to step into the world of tournaments, to dip their toe into the water to see what it is all about and we hope as a team and player that they have been inspired to seek out mini red ball events across the county and maybe take a friend or two along.
We had 13 teams competing with the eventual winners being Ramsbury Rockets.
Thank you to all the clubs who entered a team and to the captains who patiently umpired the matches and kept the afternoon flowing – we all had a great time and your help makes it run just that little bit smoother.
