We were delighted to be returning to Pewsey Tennis Club for the Wiltshire Adult County Championships which were played over the weekend of the 23rd/24th September.
With over 40 players competing in the Mens and Ladies Open, 35+ and 60+ it was great to see the event grow from last year. With a few familiar faces and some new ones the matches were played with intensity and commitment. It was an environment which inspired players to get into competition and make new friends as well as overcoming past adversaries.
With beautiful clear skies on Saturday we were able to plough through the matches in the warmth of the autumn day but that was not to last and Sunday was hampered to begin with due a scattering of showers but the Mens Doubles Final finished under a blue sky.
As with any County event our aim is to attract players from all over the county to come along and participate and in order to achieve this we realise that players need plenty of notice for forward planning.
